Urethane VS ADDTAPSHEET
Urethane is a commonplace waterproofing method, and its advantages are low cost and easy working method. However, though very precise and skilled working abilities are necessary in work method of urethane, clients tend to pick and choose low-priced offer due to severe competitions among companies and domestic situations, which have been causing many working defaults. The growth of the market for urethane has been now in downtrend and this downtrend is expected to continue considering the market demands which require environment-friendly materials and advanced work situation. Faults of urethane construction are made in proportion to the width of the construction. Therefore, if you want high quality of waterproofing, you should scrutinize all the conditions related to the construction.

Urethane ADDTAPSHEET
Weak resistance to moisture
As it is directly adhered to building surface, swelling (air-pocket) can be made under membrane of urethane due to its non-air-permeability.
Though dewatering tool is equipped, its effect is slight.
ADDTAPSHEET is sheet-type waterproofing materials and also dry work method which is not affected by humidity. Therefore, dry process of working place is not necessary.
Difficulty in forming equal waterproof membrane
Urethane, liquid material, is forced to flow down along slope and harden. Thus, steep slope makes it impossible to form even thickness of waterproof membrane.
ADDTAPSHEET is produced by precision machine at plant and applied at site, which guarantees that its waterproofing layers have even thickness and durability unlike urethane.
Removing existing materials attached to the surface of building and Drying the surface
Removing remained materials, inevitable work, causes cost rise, dust, noise, etc. To minimize separation between membrane and surface, drying the surface is the most important. Temperature of the surface should be less than ℃-5, which needs 15~20 day drying period under Korean weather. However, it is impossible to carry out this work under Korean working conditions.
ADDTAPSHEET doesn’t require removing the structures of building or existing layers, and only requires getting rid of tiny uneven materials which can damage the sheet. Thus, you can save lots of removal cost. Moreover, ADDTAPSHEET doesn’t make any dust at site, and thus doesn’t do any harm to surroundings.
Difficult Repair
For precision repair, after V-cutting of fractured layer, low part, middle part and upper part of the layer should be sequently repaired. Repair of each part takes at least one day; totally at least 3 days.
Repairing work of ADDTAPSHEET is simple and easy. As of repair work, the same sheet as the fractured one would be attached on the faulted part by welding machine. In this way, clients can save repair cost and time and acquire good looks of the repaired.
Uncertainty in guarantee against defaults

Flammable Materials
Urethane, volatile liquid, is so easy to catch fire and smelly that work-sites can become very risky and poor place to work. (Recent fire accident in Pyoungtaek, where 7 people were dead, was caused by thinner of flammable material.)
Though directly exposed to fire, ADDTAPSHEET does not catch fire because of its self-extinguishability. Additionally, as there is no bad smell in site, safe and pleasant work can be executed.
Unmeasurable Construction Material
It is very hard to measure the thickness of the membrane and it is possible for constructors to control the quantity of the material, which makes it very difficult for ordering contractor to check whether contracted quantity is consumed or not.
Since ADDTAPSHEET of roll-type sheet is not liquid-type product, ordering contractor can easily check whether the contracted quantity is consumed or not with the naked eye.

Multi-Waterproofing VS ADDTAPSHEET
A big problem of multi-water proofing is separation phenomenon between interlayer(s) and layer due to their different stretch rates and properties
Even strong sheet needs lots of maintenance cost because layer coated on the sheet has life-span shorter than that of the sheet.

Asphalt VS ADDTAPSHEET
It is often thought that Asphalt is just replacement for Urethane, but Asphalt Waterproofing is as sensitive to humidity condition as Urethane Waterproofing and weak to solar heat. Thus, it is a waterproofing method which can cause lots of faults. The material and working method bring bad effect to environment and the expense of removing asphalt is very high.

Asphalt Sheet ADDTAPSHEET
High risk of fire at working site.Superintendence observation is necessary during working when using gas barrel and torch ADDTAPSHEET is a safe working way as it uses hot-heat wind to weld the sheets; not direct contacting to heat.
Necessity of removing existing layers from and drying the surface.
As it is a adhesive method, it is indispensable to remove layers attached to the surface and dry the surface, which creates cost rise, dust and noise.
ADDTAPSHEET is a dry construction and doesn’t need removal and drying.
Weak to Solar Heat.
When heated in summer, asphalt surface becomes sticky breaking away from underlying layer. Swelling part makes membrane easily rupture.
ADDTAPSHEET is a dry working method in which swelling doesn't happen. In addition, it is strong to exposure environment such as solar heat with UV coating.
Weak to Building Movement
This sheet is weak to the place where strong movement occurs such as extension joint due to its low stretch rate.
ADDTAPSHEET can be applied to strongly moving place such as extension joint. In addition, its high stretch rate makes this sheet do its function well even in the place where strong movement is made such as factory.
Weakness of connected part
Connected parts can be easily detached due to incomplete work.
ADDTAPSHEET creates strong joint by means of welding machine which generates consistent pressure and heat.
